VFX injustamente valorados. / VFX injustice...

Estos días hay una protesta colectiva porque no se está valorando como debiera el mundo de los VFX o Efectos Visuales. Muchas películas de hoy día no serían ni la mitad sin ellos, y es justo agradecer todo el esfuerzo que conllevan. El mundo de los VFX está poniendo una imagen verde como símbolo de protesta en las diferentes redes sociales.

These days, there is a global protest in the world of Visual Effects, because it is not being valued as it would worth it. Many movies today would not be even half without them, and it is fair to thank all the effort involved. The world of VFX is putting a green image as a symbol of protest in different social networks.

Para mi video "Mediterráneo" estoy trabajando actualmente en un par de vistas exteriores del entorno, y estoy trabajando en un velero fondeado para añadir a una de ellas. Esta es una vista previa todavía en fase de modelado.

In my "Mediterráneo" movie, i am working in some exterior views, from the environment. In one of them i will add a ship that i have still in modeling phase. Here is a preview.

logrando interesantes avances en mi trabajo "Mediterráneo". Trabajando en las cámaras que son "por la mañana". Casi cerradas 3, y ya casi tengo los primeros 300 frames renderizados. Avanzando en otra más. Además, he añadido una nueva escena al comienzo, simplemente para ambientar con un exterior natural. Me está gustando mucho cómo se ve.

Getting interesting advances in my movie "Mediterráneo". Working over cameras wich are "in the morning". Almost 3 completed, and first 300 frames rendered just coming. One more camera in progress.
Also, i added a new scene, to the beginning, just to show the environment. I like the result of it very much so far.

Test animación agua #2 / Water animation test #2

Este es un nuevo avance de los test de animación del agua para la escena Mediterráneo. Esta vez con transparencia y causticas incluidas. Poco a poco voy llegando al resultado que busco, pero todavía está en proceso.

This is a new advance in the water animation tests. This time I included transparency and some caustics. Step by step i am getting what  i need, but still at progress stage.

Aquí dejo un pequeño video del test de animación del agua de la piscina, tal como comenté la semana pasada. No usé transparencia para apreciar mejor el efecto y renderizar más rápido.

Here I put a little video from my water animation test of the swimming pool, as I told last week. I didn't use transparency to see better the effect and render faster.

Mediterráneo : Trabajando ya en cada cámara. / Working each cam.

Actualmente estoy empezando a trabajar cada una de las vistas de cámara. Tengo casi 40 cámaras diferentes, y cada una tiene que quedar bien. Empiezo por las que son "por la mañana". Y en concreto estoy con una complicada porque se ve parte de la costa a la derecha de la casa, y eso hace que tenga que reproducir parte de la costa.
También estoy haciendo tests de animación del agua de la piscina. Haré varias animaciones distintas para utilizar en distintos momentos.
Aquí dejo un frame de prueba por ahora. Espero subir pronto algun video provisional con la animación.

Now, i am beginning to work each cam separately. I've got almost 40 different cams, and each one of them has to look fine. First the cams "in the morning". Right now i am busy with a difficult view, cause part of the line coast is seen, and i have to create it.
Also i am doing some animation test of the swimming pool water. I will do some different animations to use in various moments. Here i put a test frame so far. Hope i can upload soon some temp video about it.

Vacaciones / Holidays

Tras unas geniales vacaciones en la maravillosa isla de Mallorca, vuelvo poco a poco a la actividad. Traigo mucha inspiración del Mediterráneo que me va a servir de mucho.

After some great holidays in the wonderful  Mallorca island, i am getting back to my activity. I come plenty of inspiration from the Mediterran sea, that will be very useful.

Los últimos días he estado completando unos mattepaintings para los VFX de la película "Vilsen". (http://www.vilsen-filmen.se/)
En breve comenzaré mis trabajos para la película "Miss Julie" (Suecia).
Y por supuesto iré completando las escenas de "Mediterráneo" que avanza muy bien.
